About This Beef Korma

Korma is moderately spices yogurt based curry.korma is a supper yummy rich with spices and nuts, kewra essence is also added from korma.

Korma literally means fried meat for a little extra oil.

Sometimes, to make it even richer I also add almonds while the texture of this curry is fantastic,this curry gets it s’ delicious flavour from a whole spices.

This Korma that is so oily,and spicy 🔥🔥 as it look to be in this picture.

Korma make only in ghee, for the best aroma, but if you not like ghee slime, you can use oil, but the taste will be different.

I suggest using ghee.

It is best served with Sheermal , Naan, and, Hyderabadi Bagara Rice,

What is Beef Korma?

Korma is a South Asian dish with Mughlai original.korma literally means fried meat for a extra oil.

Homemade Korma Masala

  • Green cardamom 7
  • Cloves 8
  • Black peppercorns 18-20
  • Black cardamom 2
  • Nutmeg 1/2 piece
  • Cinnamon sticks 1
  • Mace 3 blades
  • Coriander seeds 2 tbsp
  • Cumin seeds 1 tsp
  • Fennel seeds 1/2 tsp
  • Kashmiri red chili 1 tbsp
  • Red chili 2 tbsp
  • Salt 1/2 tbsp
  • Turmeric 1/2 tsp
  • Bay leaves 4-5
  • Add all whole spices like black cardamom, nutmeg, cinnamon sticks, green cardamom, cloves, cumin seeds, black peppercorns, mace, coriander seeds, fennel seeds, and bay leaves.
  • Roasted.
  • Let it completely cool down.
  • In a grinder jar, add roasted whole spices and grind to make a fine powder.
  • Add powder spices like, red chili powder, turmeric powder, salt grind them, and take them out in the bowl.

Ingredients

Korma Ingredients

  • 1 kg Beef mix boti
  • 2 Large Onion (sliced)
  • 2 tbsp Ginger Paste
  • 2 tbsp Garlic Paste
  • 2 Cup Yogurt (whisked)
  • 1 Cup ghee
  • 1 tsp Kewra essence
  • 4 Cup Water

Whole Spices

  • 7 Green Cardamom
  • 8 Cloves
  • 18-20 Black pepper corn
  • 2 Black Cardamom
  • 1/2 piece Nutmeg (Jaifil)
  • 1 Cinnamon Sticks
  • 3 Blades Mace (Javitri)
  • 2 tbsp Coriander seeds
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Fennel Seeds
  • 4 Bay leaves

Powder Spices

  • 2 tbsp Red chili powder
  • 1 tbsp Kashmiri red chili
  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tbsp Salt

Instructions

How To Make Homemade Korma Masala

  • Add all whole spices like black cardamom, nutmeg, cinnamon sticks, green cardamom, cloves, cumin seeds, black peppercorns, mace, coriander seeds, fennel seeds, and bay leaves and roast on low flame.
  • Let it completely cool down.
  • In a grinder jar, add roasted whole spices and grind to make a fine powder.
  • Add powder spices like, red chili powder, turmeric powder, salt grind them, and take them out in the bowl.

How To Make Fried Onion

  • Peel the onion and wash them cut the onion into the slice.Pour ghee into a pot.
  • Once the ghee is melt,the ghee turns hot,add the sliced onions are dipped in hot ghee carefully.
  • After minutes the onion gets fried evenly from all sides. Fry on high flame for a minute till the onion is golden brown.
  • Once the onion are browned and crispy.
  • Take out the onion from the ghee and spread all the fried onion on tissue paper to absorb extra.

How To Make Korma

  • In same ghee add,ginger,garlic paste mix well.
  • Then add beef,mix well until meat change color.
  • Add prepared homemade korma Masala and give a good mix.
  • Add whisked yogurt and mix well and cover and cook for until yogurt water is dries up.
  • Add fried onion and mix well for 5 minutes keep stirring. until the onion is paste.
  • After 5 minutes and add,water mix well cover and cook for a minutes or until meat is cooked well.
  • Once the meat is done add kewra water cook until thickness gravy and oil are separate top of the korma.
  • Serve with sheermal.
