Falooda is a delicious dessert drink and a perfect summer treat.falooda is an indian dessert made by layering various ingredients in a glass.milk very delicious and yummy beverage dessert that is flavored with rose syrup.it is prepared with aromatic rose syrup,sweet basil sseds,falooda sev,chilled milk,strawberry jelly,pista ice-cream and garnished with nuts.

I am so excited to share falooda recipe with you folks today.This is my most favourite dessert drink recipe that i make it in summer whatever i crave for same dessert.

WHAT IS FAlOODA ?
Falooda is a rich milk based dessert that is refreshing and totally delicious!It is served chilled in falooda glasses by layering rose syrup,falooda sev,soaked sweet basil,jelly thick milk,ice cream and dry fruit.

ElEMENT IN A FALOODA ARE :

1.MilK-Sweetened chilled and cold milk best for falooda.

2.Rose syrup-It is this rose syrup that makes your falooda pink in color,gives it the special fragrance and refreshing flavor.I am always used Rooh afza.

3.Basil Seeds-also known as sabja seeds or tukmaria.These tiny black seeds are very similar to chia seeds and can be replaced in absence of basil seeds.

These basil seeds need to be soaked in water after which they swell and almost double in size.They look transparent grey on the outside but still black on the inside but still black on the inside and structure a gel like coating.Basil seeds are known for their cooling properties and widely used in many summer recipe.

The health benefits of basil seeds include their ability to improve digestive health,reduce acidity and hearburt, aid in weight loss, regulating blood sugar, cooling the body, relieving stress, reducing inflammation and preventing certain infections. They are particularly used as an addition to beverages and desserts.

4.Falooda Sev-These falooda noodles are different than regular vermicelli and made of cornflour.
They are flavorless,theses are vermicelli made using corn flour.you can substitute this with regular vermicelli even angel hair pasta.

5.Jelly-Strawberry,orange,rose flaroved jelly is totally optional ingredients.In fact,you can use any fruit-based jelly.

6.Ice-Cream-Vanilla ice cream is the commonly used in falooda.But even other ice cream types like strawberry ice cream,pistachio ice cream,chocolate ice cream,mango ice cream.

7.Nuts-You can add chopped almond and pistachio.


Ingredients

  • Falooda ingredients:

  • Milk 2 cup chilled

  • Rooh Afza 5 tbsp

  • Basil seeds 2 tbsp (tukumaria)

  • Strawberry jelly

  • Pista ice-cream 6 scoops

  • Nuts for garnish

  • Falooda Sev/corn flour vermicelli ingredients:

  • Corn flour 1/2 cup

  • Sugar 2 tsp

  • Water 1 and 1/2 cup

  • Chilled water as you required

Directions

  • Corn flour vermicelli preparation;
  • Take a saucepan,add corn flour,water and mix well.turn on the flame and keep stirring until it becomes thick paste and glossy.
  • After that put the corn flour mixture in piping bag,press the corn flour mixture through piping bag into ice chilled water and make falooda sev,rest it for 5 minutes into chilled water.after that falooda sev is ready.
  • In bowl,add basil seed and soak in water for 30 minutes.
  • In a bowl,add chilled milk,rose syrup and mix well.
  • Assembling;
  • In glass,add falooda sev,basil seeds,jelly,prepared milk,pista ice-cream scoop,basil seeds,jelly,almond,pista ice-cream and serve.

Notes

  • If you like more flavour and sweetness increase the amount of rooh afza.
