Mutton White Karahi

Mutton white Karahi known as gosht karahi when prepared with goat or lamb meat instead of chicken), or Kadai chicken, is a dish from the Indian subcontinent.

  • 1 kg Mutton mix boti
  • 2 large Onion sliced 
  • 2 tsp Salt
  • 2 Cinnamon sticks 
  • 4 Green cardomom
  • 2 inch piece Ginger
  • 4 Cup Water as required
  • 1/4 Cup Oil
  • 1 tbsp Ginger paste
  • 1 tbsp Garlic paste
  • 1 tsp Cumin powder
  • 2 tbsp Coriander powder
  • 4-5 sliced Green chilies 
  • 1 & 1/4 Cup Yogurt whisked
  • 2 tsp White pepper powder
  • 2 tsp Black pepper powder
  • Fresh coriander chopped


  • In a pot,add mutton,onion,ginger,green cardomom,cinnamon sticks,water and mix well.bring it to boil cover and cook on low flame 50-60 minutes or until meat is tender then cook until water is reduced.
  • And then add oil,ginger,garlic paste,salt,cumin powder,coriander powder and mix well.
  • Now add green chillies and mix well.
  • And then add yogurt,black pepper powder,white pepper powder,mix well and cook until oil separates.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves.
  • Dish out the mutton white karahi and serve with naan.
